I don’t really like to wear make up, however last year my New Zealand Aunty convinced me that make up is really fun. It is the aesthetic quality of painting like an artwork on your face, because you can be any character that you want. You can feel like you are an uglier character or prettier character. As a no make up fan, I like to rush through the routine, it ends up looking like a water colour painting. When my Aunty puts make up on my face it is professionally done, like permanent marker.

Salt fresh tap water, the smell of the face cloth. Vanilla from the moisturiser. A very strong honey milk tea smell from the packaging and a minty smell of the lipstick. Next comes a sweet ripe strawberry smell, the overwhelming combination of everything.
