LOOSE AND LOUD AND LARGE

Friday evening after work 4.30pm until 4am or possibly longer. It’s quite buzzing and exciting. People are putting on perfume and preparing for possibility, but you’re not sure what. Everyone is drinking alcohol and chatter. It’s Circular Quay, outside and sunny. Perhaps the Opera Bar. There are Suits in sunglasses, subtle scent of sunscreen, cigarettes, fresh cologne and beer-breath. The scent of food, chips and burgers and a slightly numbing, medicinal edge of coke.

The scent is a smelling lubricant allows one to get into that party kind of mood.

SCENT

What hits you first is a salty, cologne and sunscreen smell (not the coconut). Next would be the malty spilt beer, wine and slight body sweat. Last would be the iodine-y, slightly medicinal scent.
