I notice the humidity of the city. And the gardens. Tiny gardens squeezed in and around houses but full of smells. They are lush.
It’s not unpleasant, it’s optimistic.
I think of the botanic gardens as well. There are little oases dotted around the city. The gardens are a big one but there are so so many little ones too! Plus I always come for the galleries. The MCA and White Rabbit. They’re Sydney for me as well.
SCENT
Frangipani, the smell of humidity – hot water, closeness. A heavy green gross. Clean smells.
